The All New TURTLE TROT 5K
at Don Lee Camp & Retreat Center

Celebrate the beginning of summer while you run, race or walk along the beauty of the Neuse River at the TURTLE TROT 5K at Don Lee Camp & Retreat Center in Arapahoe, NC! This 5K event (3.1 miles) begins alongside the sandy beach of Camp Don Lee, winds through neighboring country roads before heading back to Don Lee for the big finish!
Early registration is only $30.00 before May 26th, $35.00 day of the race. All students can join the fun for $25.00 and any groups of 10 or more are $20.00 each. A Turtle Trot 5K T-shirt and post-race breakfast are included with your registration (breakfast only $5.00 for non-runners/walkers, please call ahead if you intend on using this option).
Proceeds from this event benefit the Environmental Education Program at Don Lee, which serves over 6,000 students from across North Carolina annually!
Event Details/Schedule
Day-of registration and check-in will begin at 6:30am on Saturday June 2nd with the run/walk beginning at 7:30am. Awards will be given to the top 3 male and female finishers.
The 5K course includes both gravel and pavement surfaces and running strollers should be able to complete the entire 3.1 miles.
