At Don Lee, we aim for campers to be comfortable and casual. Please send cool, comfortable clothes that are okay to get dirty. We spend a lot of time in the water, so modestly cut, athletically-styled swimsuits for boys and girls are strongly suggested. No string bikinis are allowed. Swimsuits are for water activities only. Boys will need a shirt and girls will need shorts/t-shirt to cover up their bathing suits when moving across camp to other activities. Bathing suit cover-ups are okay as long as they are not see-through. Please do not send clothing that advertises alcohol, tobacco, political candidates and views or other controversial topics that might cause divisiveness within the group. One casual dress or nice shirt and shorts can be sent if you'd like. Many campers like to dress nicely for the talent show and dance. Older, multi-week campers who may attend church one Sunday during their time at camp need to bring appropriate clothing (no open backs or bare midriffs).
You can download a printed copy of the Camper Packing Checklist HERE and use it while packing with your camper!
All items brought to camp should be labeled with the camper’s full name. It is a great idea to label small things like toothpaste and washcloths, as well. We highly recommend using Mabels Labels when labeling your campers items. Camp provides all the necessary equipment for all activities and camp trips (sleeping bag and pillow need to be brought with the camper, this can be used as bedding, too). Please remember camp is not responsible for personal recreation equipment.
