I'm Ayden Zuromski and I will be Sail Master this summer with Maggie Nichols. This will be my fourth summer on staff with an additional 7 years as a camper. I'm originally from Holly Springs, NC and am currently studying at the University of Vermont majoring in Biology. This summer I'm most looking forward to working alongside my peers whilst giving all our campers fun, memorable, and safe on-the-water experiences. I'm Marissa Fowler and I will be Head Female Counselor this summer. I attended Camp Don Lee as a camper for 2 summers, and 3 summers at Camp Chestnut Ridge, Don Lee's sister camp. I have worked at various day camps. I'm originally from Cary, NC and am currently studying at UNCG majoring in Classical Studies. This summer I'm most looking forward to building relationships to last at camp! Hi friends! My name is Adria Foreman and I’ll be the Summer Programs Assistant and doing some Outreach this summer!! I’m from Raleigh, NC and this is my third summer on staff. This fall I’ll start my senior year at Campbell University with a major in Christian Studies and minors in Sociology and Community Leadership & Engagement. This summer I’m most excited to plan all camp games and watch all our campers have fun together! A quote that I always come back to comes from a favorite Tim McGraw song of mine, “always stay humble and kind.” See y’all on the river soon!!

My name is Jackson Carter, but I go by Jackson. I am the Head Male Counselor this summer. This will be my 9th summer at camp! I am from Yanceyville, North Carolina. I am a soon to be alumni of Western Carolina with a degree in Interior Design.

I am most looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new people, but I am also so excited to be a part of the camp experience again and to do the Lord's work! I have many favorite bible verses, but if I had to choose one for right now, I would choose Matthew 10:38-39. "And whoever does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it." I'll also choose Proverbs 3:5-6 just because it is very hard for me to pick one bible verse. Proverbs 3:5-6. "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make straight your paths."

My name is Maggie Nichols and I will be a Sailmaster this summer with Ayden Zuromski. This will be my 15th summer at camp and 4th summer working. I am from Hickory, NC and go to NC State. I am currently working towards getting a degree in accounting. Thinking about this summer, I am eager to see all of the campers grow in their faith and try new things on the water. My favorite bible verse is Romans 5: 3-5. See you this summer!

My name is Laura Lillian Baggett and I will be the Healthcare Assistant this summer. This will be my first summer at camp and I am pumped to join! I am from Raleigh, NC and go to Davidson College majoring in Theatre while on the pre-med track. I am looking forward to connecting with God and learning more about healthcare. My favorite bible verse: “We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trails, for we know that they help us develop endurance.”- Romans 5:3

My name is Joey Anderson, and I will be the Lead Media Specialist this summer! This will be my first summer at Camp Don Lee. I am from Elgin, SC and just graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Visual Communications and a Sports Media Concentration. I’m most excited for the variety of activities and being able to make some great content! My favorite bible verse is James 5:7-12. I can’t wait for a great summer!

My name is Cameron Hair and I am going to be the Aquatics Coordinator this summer! I attended Camp Don Lee for 11 summers as a camper and am now entering my 4th summer as a staff member. I am from Fuquay Varina and currently attend UNCW majoring in Exercise Science. I am looking forward to having a great summer poolside with our waterfront staff. I can’t wait to see some familiar faces and meet new people throughout the summer. My goal, with the help of CDL’s lifeguards, is to make the pool a fun and safe environment for all campers and staff! Howdy, I’m Dylan Winstead and I will be the OLS (Outdoor Living Skills) Coordinator this summer. I graduated from NC State University with a degree in Horticultural Science focused on Landscape Design and Urban Forest Ecology. I was a camper here for 8 years growing up and Don Lee has always held a special place in my heart and I look forward to creating and sharing more memories with the campers and staffers. I'm excited to teach about Gods green earth, help others reconnect with nature and appreciate its natural beauty. Hi my name is Riley Patton and I will be the Head Lifeguard this summer. This will be my 8th summer at camp and 3rd year on staff. My hometown is Sanford, NC and I'm currently studying at APP State majoring in Exercise Science with a minor in Nutrition. I'm looking forward to being at camp all summer and seeing a lot of friends I haven’t seen in a while.

Summer Camp Coordinators 2024

Hey y'all! My name is Kenna Berg, and I'll be one of your summer camp coordinators! This will be my 4th summer at camp. I'm from Wilmington NC, and I graduated from NC State with a degree in Biochemistry in 2022. I'm currently finishing up a Master's in microbiology at George Washington University before I head to the University of Georgia! This summer I'm looking forward to being on staff with my LITs, and I can't wait to meet the new staff! My current favorite bible verse is 1 John 4:16.

Howdy! My name is Charles Edward Johnson IV, but you can call me Charlie. I am going to be one of the two summer camp coordinators this summer and I am super excited to be here! I was a camper at Don Lee for 4 years and this will be my 5th year on summer staff. I graduated from UNC Asheville with a degree in environmental management, and my favorite things to do at camp are go sailing on a sporty day and to sing songs in the dining hall. This summer I'm looking forward to giving the campers the same amazing, unforgettable experience I had when I went to camp here. My favorite bible verse is Isaiah 41:10. I'll see you this summer!
