🌞When summer camp wraps up, things don’t slow down 🌞When summer camp wraps up, things don’t slow down here at Don Lee Camp and Retreat Center! In the Fall and Spring, we welcome school groups from across the state and beyond. Our dedicated seasonal team, known as Coastal Environmental Educators—or Coastal Staff for short—help bring these programs to life. Let’s take a few minutes to introduce our amazing coastal staff for fall 2024! 🦀🐢Logan serves as our Education Specialist. She will be returning for her 3rd season on coastal staff and has a background as a classroom teacher from Georgia. It’s hard to tell if she loves Poppy the corn snake or Hatty the terrapin best!Environmental Educators Asia - coming to us from Ohio, Asia has a degree in Environmental and Field Biology from Ohio Northern University. Most recently Asia has worked at the Highlands Nature Center here in NC as a Naturalist.Dylan - an NC native and graduate of NC State, is returning for another coastal staff season. He worked the spring and summer seasons already this year. Dylan LOVES plants and frogs!Gretchen - went to Wake Forest and received a degree in Environmental Science with minors in Anthropology and dance. She most recently worked at a camp in Colorado mixing nature and reading!McKenna - a long time camper and staff member with our Summer Camp program, she has a degree in Anthropology from NC State and has spent the last year in Colorado as a recreation manager. She’s a big fan of the local aquarium!Sofia - originally from Illinois but has worked in many different states over the last few years. She has been an interpretive park ranger for state parks in Arizona and Colorado and has been a zipline guide and axe throwing coach!🦎🐟 Want to meet these awesome folks and experience the incredible outdoor education program that Don Lee Camp and Retreat Center offers?
